National Cadet League CHAMPIONS

Not to be out done the National Cadet League "A’ team - consisting of: Peter Smallcombe, 12, Max Duffin, 15, Sam Hume, 14 and Luca Pontone, 12 -emulated the under 18s team with an unbeaten season, winning the league and able to call themselves champions with 2 rounds still to go.with Peter Smalcombe and Max Duffin going all season unbeaten

The other 3 teams from Bishop Auckland also performed well.  The ‘B’ team, also in first division finished 6th, the ‘C’ team - with an average age of just 11 ½ performed superbly, finishing second place, having only lost twice to the 3rd place team all season, with the D finishing a very credible 4th place.

“I’m over the moon” said Matt Porter club chairman “To have 4 teams playing in the league and all so young, only 2 of the squad of 18 players are too old next year! Shows the future is looking very good for us and the fact we won another National League unbeaten shows the hard work of the players and coaches in the club.”
