Sports award success for Ben

North Yorkshire table tennis star Ben Robinson has been rewarded for a successful season at Active York Sports Awards on March 17th, being voted Young Disabled Sportsperson of the Year at Active York Sports Awards March 17th.

Ben, who has autism and learning difficulties, trains twice a week at Bishop Auckland TTC and impressed the panel thanks to his fantastic season which saw him winning Gold at a Special Olympics event in Bournmouth and three silver medals at the BTTAD national grand prix event at Bishop Auckland.

Bens Mum, Sue had the following to say "This is deserved recognition for Ben who would not have been able to achieve this without the fantastic support and dedication from coaching and playing team at Bishop Auckland Table Tennis Club. Hopefully this will inspire others to participate in sport"
