Medal Haul at St Neots Para Grand Prix

Andrew Green and Ryan Morton came back from Cambridgeshire with a 4-medal haul at the Para GB Grand Prix event held at St Neots Table Tennis Club. The Morning saw Andrew win the class 3 singles with 3-0 wins over Lee York and Denise Young and a 3-2 win over Triantafillou Tychogiorgos from Surrey to win the event. Ryan Morton playing the class 7 singles also won his group which put him in the semis where he defeated Joe Davies from Cheshire to make the final going down 3-0 to Tom Johnson from Isle of Man.  Ryan also made the final of the standing doubles event with his partner Tim Fields. Ryan got his revenge  for his singles defeat by beating Tom and his partner in the semi before going down to Grantham college pair Jack Stockdale and Dylan Tynan in the final. The wheelchair doubles saw Andrew team up with his usual doubles partner Raul Popat, to reach the semi-finals, before the team mates had to play in the Band B wheelchair event with Andrew again coming away with gold beating Lee York again, Raul and Romain Simon. Ryan playing the Band B standing event, also had to face his doubles partner coming away as winner, Ryan also beat Josh Moore from Dorset but again went down to Tom Johnson and Harry Rose to finish 3rd.
